1000 and pro tools (mbox 2) hookup

My school has computer labs with mbox2's that i just found out I had access to and i wanted to take my 1000 over there to track out some stuff but i'm pretty lost when it comes to the tech side of things. All I wanted to do was take my 1000, hook it up to the mbox 2 and track in a beat. what midi/audio cables do I need to get and where do I need to run them from the 1000 to mbox 2 and vica versa. Thanks for your help

if the mbox 2 has a midi output, you will need to run midi out of the mbox to the input of the mpc

audio will need at least 2 1/4" to 1/4" cables to run out of the mpc to the ins of the mbox. this can be found in your mpc manual, either the the online version or the hard copy that came with it. this is as basic as it gets. read the manual and you will go far...
