ppls word up,
this is the current experimenting set up

mpc is master to cubase, all is well
both talk to each other via mtc 25fps
keyboard into mpc
mpc to midi in on pc midisport ( in A)
in cubase i open midi sequencer select track1, and midi in A, then select instrument. synth 1
on mpc i select midi and then track1 1b (tht the out i am using)
i then record sequence on mpc, it records fine, no probs there, it plays back the synth, as intended

but  when i select track 2 in cubase, select different synth,
and , track 2 midi 2b.
and try to play another sequence on track2 different from the orig.
synth 2 always plays what i recorded on track 1.
so in essence i try select different instruments and play different melodies on different tracks but they all play what is on track 1...
am i clear
i want to use vst as my instruments, and my mpc as the sequencer
any help appreciated
thanx.

my bad. I meant the link.

You can no longer select midi-input channels 1-16 in cubase. You'll have to work around this problem by setting up as many miditrack as you're going to use, and filtering all the channels out, exept for one.
If you change the midi channel nr. you're letting trough for each track, you end up with up to 16 tracks that recieve midi channel 1-16.
Now save this as a template, and you'll never have to set it up again.
