New Set-Up Have a couple of q's

im runnin a 15"powerbook g4 1.25mhz 512 ram soon to be 1024.logic pro,motu-828,mpc1000,and going to choose between the oxygen 8, ozone or novation k-station for midi controllers.
My question is what sound module is the best for the money and can be upgraded without going over like 450$ used preferably,also should i go with a mixer?any reccomendations will be appreciated....

i got the 828Mk11 with a desk G4. It's sweet.

Re. mixer Q - the 828 Mk11 has ten analogue ins (2 with preamps) and 8 analogue outs, plus main outs. I f you havent got much hardware, then there is no need to get a mixer, but if you got many outs from your hardware, then you might consider one. Personally, it looks like your going for a fairly mobile system, so I wouldn't bother with the mixer unless the above. The 828 Mk11 should well be all you need cos all routing can be internally.

I have the oxygen 8, i wouldn't buy it again. They don't last that long. I heard the novation is not build that good either.
