best keyboard under $1000?

thinkin about snaggin a triton off of ebay this christmas. dunno if i wanna get the rack or the actual keyboard. I really just wanna add my own things on top of sampled beats.

Any recommendations?

I'd buy motif over triton.

Yeah, if everybody had the same level of standards, then "best" would mean just that. But since we live in a world where everybody's standards are different, then this doesn't hold it's value like some might think.

What is it you're looking for in a keyboard to make it "the best"? Or you'd rather go off of other folks' opinions instead of your own.

Well, since I'm a keyboard player, I think there's three or four "best" keyboards out there at the moment. Any one of these will do what I need them to do IMO.

maybe i should of been more specific... what is the best keyboard in your opinion under a thousand bucks? Im lookin for realistic sounds..horns, guitars, organs all that

I got a Juno G awhile back...no complaints.
Came with a free bag and SRX card

Under a thousand with some realistic sounds...hop up on ebay and search for the original "yamaha motif" people should be selling it for under a Grand..or go into ur local gc and cop one of them yamaha psr series keyboards..not very realistic, but its under a thousand bucks.

I recommend to check out new Korg M50. 61-keys version costs about 1100$, little over your budget but it seems to be nice keyboard. I'm gonna get mine in january.

They all kinda suck under $1000
I would get vsts and a midi keyboard.

Or juno d which is $600 and ik multiimedia $600 vst bundle

The top choice to me is to get ik multimedia vst bundle
Its sonik synth 2/philharmonik/ and sample tank. It is only $600 and you get 12,000 sounds.
Plus all the sounds are better than any keyboard. The max amount of sounds you get in a board is 2500.

This is just my opinion tho.

I'd get the microKorg and spend the rest on something else

ive seen a triton classic being sold for $600...any thoughts on the triton as to the quality of the sounds?

Around here they are going for $400 & ^

I've owned a Kurzweil K2000s for over 10 years now, thought about parting with it but just can do it. The newer K2500 or K2600 rack or keys are nice workstations. (not sure about second hand prices+sampling options is expensive)

But as pointed out above if your really after realistic sounds horns etc ... im sure your PC/mac some good software and a decent controller would be the way to go.

To me it sounds like you want hardware and also sounds like you want the Triton...or maybe the Motif.

Your grand ....like my K2000 and MPC , id be looking for something id still be using in 10 years time.
