so the download of the virtual is available i take it the sound packs that have been valued at 1900 are the same 3000 sounds that come as standard.

So, what happened with the hardware, aka MPC killah?

Sounds more and more that the hardware version can be called the VaporThang....

the image is somewhat laughable but i get the sense that the tools do what they supposed to and looks so immediate and quick to use and sometimes that simplified vibe makes being creative more natural as there are less tech considerations and everything is right there.

but i guess the hardware got pushed back due to them upgrading the amount of onboard memory and perhaps finding a longer lasting batter.

the mpc 1k is gonna get sold when that hardware drops i like jjos and the 1k but thang got more features or more interesting and looks faster to work with.

for those considering hardware unit of quitkangz I think shit is risky with a starting up company. era of hardware boom is slowly fading and gearing towards midi hardware/software combo. I think what might happen is they wont sell as many hardware units as they hoped for which will lead to premature discontinuation of production and support of that thing.

I think they probably will have a better success selling software version than hardware. Im just speculating, also I would rather go with something like akai which I know is proven to work, and I know replacement parts will be available for a while if anything.

i dont have a korg esx anymore but did not find that embarrassing most peeps that saw the electribe think shit looked mad complicated.

but the 505 looked like a toy also but no one shitted on that as hard as the beat thang

also the hardware can be used as a controller the reason this unit may work is that it allows to take ur software sessions off away from the computer

I think ima be sticking with software these days, i love my mpc but the fact is akai/numark are in the business of ripping people off..
I love reason, and record!!, ive got the virtual beat thang and I like it now that more of the bugs are worked out, it really reminds me of a virtual mpc, definitely would rather buy this instead of a mpc5000, then you could buy a laptop too.. lol,. a macbook and a virtual thang would still run you cheaper then a mpc5000 you could use the rest of the money you saved to buy a couple a ounces of dank
