It's is a good year for synths

I have created some really interesting shit with my ims20 as well as my ds10. Both of these are probably the only examples where I've really enjoyed starting from a default patch and building something from the ground up.

BUT...having to plug physical patch cables in does not sound interesting or exciting to me in any way.

I love Korg. I love that they keep pushing the envelope in some areas (especially when all Roland does is keep producing live player pianos), but I think if I'm gonna spend the money it might be on the minibrute this time.

It's a semi-modular so you don't have to use patch cables.

Your crazy! that's one of the things I've always found entising about the ms20. I like having everything in front of me. And patching on an ms20 is way more satisfying to me than virtual patching in something like Uhe's ace. If they get the filters right on the reissue that would be reason enough for me by itself though.

I really can't wait, finally a new synth I'm excited about.

As to the people bitching about mini jacks, get over it Eurorack systems have been on mini jacks for donkeys years and I don't hear any people groaning.

Although to be honest it's not even really semi modular, you don't need any patching to get a sound out.. More a modulation matrix with great routing

I noticed that, but that's such an early pic (prolly just a prototype, at most. might just even be a mockup), they could easily change it. I don't consider it completely out of the picture. I dunno.
