Hi so right now after a few years of working itb i decided to go mostly the hardware route. It is challenging but i feel a lot more connected to my music since i made the switch. Now as probably all of you know going from software to hardware there's a lot that you could do with a click of a mouse that now becomes much more complicated. So im a big fan of the neo soul and organic hiphop vibes and working with a 2000xl i dont have many options to add effects to my beats. What would be the best addition to my setup to have wah wah effects, tremolo, filters etc. Im looking into guitar pedals for wah and tremolo which dont tend to have an option to sync to a signal or a tempo. Im dont have the greatest rhythm in the world so that would be a nice option for when my musician skills just arent cutting it. What do you guys use or what would you recommend. Ive heard the dp4 has great effects and can probably do most of what im asking for. Anybody own one of these? Anyway here's some examples.

The MPC4000 is a great upgrade to the XL if you want better filters and modulation.

Guitar pedals are also a good option.

Thanks that sounds pretty good and can be had for 35$! i think im sold 8) . The sync is more important with the wah i think as my sense of timing isnt all that  .As far as upgrading mpc's im not really interested in that right now as i dont really have much money to put on this stuff. Probably in the future would be a option.

look for an auto wah pedal, it will trigger when you play a key but since there's still no tempo sync the wah will still be all groovy like the examples you posted.

i would seriously not worry abut the sync on a wah wah. just get a used classic crybaby or vox and work it. They are really cheap and easy to use and fix. very few have midi sync. Adrenalinn is great but more than a wah and has a sound you cant escape (not bad but always there). many software wahs would have a way to sync but then you have a software wah which kind of sucks, imo.

EB16 FX board provide an autopan that can also be set to tremolo and also 2 bands of the 4 band filter provide an frequency modulation aka wah. so if you already have that board you should check that

Unfortunately no EB16. I found a tuna melt on kijiji for 30$ and will be picking that up tommorow so thanks a bunch m56p87. Probably end up getting a crybaby wah and play with that for a while. Thanks everybody who contributed. cant wait to start experimenting. Next on the list is a good mixer and this sweet kalimba i saw last weekend :) .

@terry towelling - Allready meeting someone this morning for the danelectro tuna melt tremolo but i will definitely look into it if im not pleased with this one. The lune seems like it has a lot more control over the overall sound.
