reason I bought it was because of the price. I used buy it now. I was not looking for this module in particular but If I can cop one for 85.00 and 5.00 shipping im gonna get it!

good deal or bad deal? or in between?

i was reading up about the proteus modules and they sound ok. but lol it was the price!!! oh well. it wont hurt my pockets :)

hmm...wonderin why it was so cheap with buy it now :?

i have some of those sounds in my emu p\board, i bought the expansion card for it

really, i aint concerned about it, it's in your hand which equals heat

some say it's dated cuz it's like the first one, but some say it's classic

i say it's jus more sounds

plus the proce aint bad for a new module

if you don't like it
sell it, somebody alwasy looking for a proteus of any kind

yea its the first one. guess thats why it was priced so cheap. i read some specs on it and its nothing spectacular you know? but like you said its more sounds which i need! need to continue workin on my melodies and shii. so this will help a bit i guess.

oh well, we'll see. wont be a loss to me :)

see i didnt know i was using the jv at first. but the sounds on it are pretty official. i think it also has after touch on some of the instruments. but it has some nice sounds on it. its really inspiring when your using it (to me). to me its worth copping. but i like the sound it has. i could really use it.

it is a proteus 1.

the first one. worth it? i read an equal amount of positive and negative reviews. its dated i guess. not really "new" so I guess these are going for cheap now

you used it before?

i didnt even plan on purchasing this, but i read about it and for $85 i figured id give a try

85 bucks isn't that much. And hey, it's bound to have at least A COUPLE of usable sounds in it.

I've never used one though.

yup your right. so software makin a comeup huh? i prefer hardware (personally) but whatever works.

ok, thats good to know. yea the jv is pretty cool. i compared prices on the proteus and the most I saw someone askin for it was $175 the cheapest was $120. so i guess it was pretty fair. not to mention he said the damn thing is hooked up with a ton of extra sounds....but again....we'll see
