Just upgraded from the mpc 1000 to the 2500 and it is the shit

Definitely NOT a 404. I used to have a 404 but did not like the sound and feel of it: it had the "stiffest" feel of all the SP-series samplers I have used, and those are stiff. This is a SP-505, came out right after the 303 and sound more like that. Use it between the turntable and MPC now, instead of a DJ mixer. Good variety of effects to use on samples like isolator, EQ, compressor, tremolo and stuff. Very silent (303 is hissy)
