Its hard to find the right set up! I had mine custom made. I ended up with 3 tables one small square one in the middle and two long ones on the side so I am surrounded by gear. I like it like that...

You should face your speaker's with the bass cones on the inside. Mixes always come out better

poundaproblem wrote:trailz516, nice setup. I agree about the monitors. The tweeters should be on the outside, when you have them inside you force your stereo feild to sound narrower.

I thought they should be upright? Isnt that how they are made to be? Not saying your wrong pound but asking for my own knowledge.

I would think the basstraps he has(or whatever those little cushions under the monitors are called) would be better than those metal(lic) stands...not sure on that, but it'd seem that way to me

No he can keep those pads under the monitors, and use the little legs under the wood panel to support it from bending. That's what I did and it works.

those little cushins are auralex mopads and are specially developed to absorb vibrations from the speaker monitor to the desk or surface its placed on. A wood desk will amplify the bass vibrations from the speaker and that gives an unaccurate stereo image.

I got it on sale at Staples for $79. Normally its still only $99.....but if you've got alot of gear it might not work too good for you. Its not that strong.
Ruslanio wrote:See how you monitors are just hanging down from that self? I suggest you go to your local Ikea and get the 6" Capita legs.

Put 2 on each side, and it will support great, and looks siick. I did that, and for some reason it even made my desk a little more stable..

Yea ive got dvds stacked up under each monitor supporting it for now. Next time im up at ikea i'll probably pick those things up.
Thanx to everyone that commented about my monitors....they are now setup the correct way.

Haha, I use to use VHS Cassetes, because 5 of them worked alright.
