I updated my setup. I pretty much sold most of my hardware and sound modules. I wanted to slim down my setup.

I bought a couple new toys also. An apogee duet which is the best $500 I have ever spent. The quality of the converters are amazing. Its like I have new ears.I use to use a tascam 1804 and im telling you I hear a night and day difference. I dont need many ins or outs any more so it is perfect.

I also bought the new yamaha KX61 midi keyboard. It is real dope, has nice keys and cool features that you can use with your DAW. Plus it only cost me $150. The last thing I bought was some auralex studio foam.I hear things so much clearer because of it. I bought 2 2x4 sheets,2 mopads to place my monitors on and 2 bass traps. It only cost like $175,but the benefit of using them is priceless. Everyone should pick some up for their for studio.

My set up includes
Apogee Duet
Yamaha KX61 midi keyboard
Mac Pro
Mpc 2000xl
Sherwood Turntable
Yamaha HS80's
Rokit RP6 CL's
A Crazy amount of vst plugins, which I will keep secret, ahahaahha
Furman power conditioner

There's no denying how influential nirvana was, whether you wanna argue about how talented cobain was is a different story. But those dudes made music that will stand the test of time.

HAHAHAHAH YEAH boy!!!

What the F*CK are you talking about mang??? Cobain's not my cup of tea either but have you "just happened" to write a few catchy tunes??? Where's your catalogue of "catchy tunes" that you "just happened" to write that somehow connected with millions?

Not that easy is it?

Don't underestimate the power of that sh!t dude. Makes YOU look idiotic.

Aha, it's funny because there are people out there who feel the same way about the Beatles.

I don't know that any of us are in a hard and fast position to judge talent or skill of Cobain or Dilla. At the risk of sounding like a kindergarten teacher we're all entitled to our opinions and its not worth getting all bent out of shape over.

In any event, I have been working in the dorm room studio for a couple months. I haven't had time to clean lately but you get the picture.

same reason as kurt cobain, biggie and tupac...they all died at the height of their genious-ness...so no one can deny what they mightve done further, therefore they're preserved in history as greats

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. You bytches act like you ain't got one. Fugg y'all. And I don't know if that one comment was about my mixtape track but if it was a challenge buddy, you don't have to be shy.

I find it very ironic that you, someone into hip-hop, is saying an artist sucked because he wasn't technical enough.

Technicality isn't the only thing that defines whether something is good music or not. :)

Wait a minute, let me clarify a few things. I was simply stating MY OPINION about Kurt Cobain. I simply don't see how he was, as some of you guys put it , a "Genius". I personally came from the "shredder" era of guitarists and very much appreciated the technicality and progression of metal music. Then along comes Nirvana and basically kills that genre of music. Did I say I didn't like Nirvana's music? No, actually, I found some of it to be pretty good. I just hate the entire situation and how it came about. I do, however appreciate the fact that it did happen because from the ashes came a newer, stronger scene of American metal (and I hope Hip Hop re-emerges the same way). But I basically feel (felt) exactly how many of you feel (felt) about the current state of Hip-Hop and one young cat named Soulja Boi. There were tons of bands from the same era that I would have considered genius... Sound Garden, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins... but I fail to recognize Cobain's genius. Again, this is just MY OPINION.
