But yeah, if you have no interest in DJing at all then you wasted your money on 1200s and you really can't say anything to the dude you were trying to talk down to, as you're doing the exact same thing he is. Whether you think your beats are better or not, that's called gear lust.

I bought them specifically to learn dj'ing, but yes, it is gear lust, as I couldve had a set of Numarks or Stantons at half price

Lol, you're straight then. The only turntables I'd DJ with are 1200's, and maybe the new Vestax PDX's that have been out for a little while. No matter what you'll have gotten your money's worth since they hold value really well though.
