Hey guys, at around 9:25 Freedom talks about copying the programs and making a new track and so forth in order to create a bass track from the original sample. It gets fuzzy when he talks about it so I cant quite make out what hes saying. Could someone explain this to me? I dont have the 4K I got the 1K.

i think he copies the track to a new sequence and the sample and uses a low-pass filter to remove the highs so he has a only the bass left for the verse-part
you can also do it on the mpc1k. just copy the sequence and put the sample on another pad and use a low-pass filter on the new sample so you only have a bass left.
OR
you can use the same sequence and copy the sample to another pad, low-pass and put it on another track.
let's say you have your sample on track 4 and put the basssample on track 5.
i do that kind of stuff in cubase. when i have a sample with a good bass.
just duplicate the track with the sample in cubase and then put a low-pass filter on one track and a high pass filter on the other track.
