Actually battery power is the cleanest source of DC power....yes better than the AC that comes out of your mains plug that has to be filtered and rectified

i was considering getting the microkorg. so now i guess i could get this instead.

that or either a alesis micron..

but i dont know. being that its new, the gear might be buggy/defected.

MicroKorg (Not the XL). That is a good synth. I have a few synths and I love my MicroKorg.... sometimes even more than my Nord Lead 2X and that is a great synth too. I paid a pretty penny for my Nord, but the MicroKorg sounds better in a lot of areas and it is battery powered.

The New Micro Korg XL is wack cause it's still not Multi Timbral you think they would have changed it after the 1st one not being so.

It's all down to taste at the end of the day, you see I preffer the sound of the Nord Lead 2 over the 2X lol
I also like the MS-2000 which in essance is a micro korg but I still preffer the Nord Lead 2

The problem with MicroKorg XL is the ugliness of that thing. I mean, that is one ugly synth. Plus, it looks like a chinese toy keyboard from the late 80s, which sucks.

Anyway, there's nothing like a good 'old' MicroKorg (no XL!).

Yet, I understand Korg with this plastic - lame - case. They are trying to hype the synth like if it was the Roland SH-101, which comes with a shitload of colors. The 'problem' is that the SH-101 freakin' rocks

My Micron is my least favorite synth I own. The sound is so.... wet and techno like.....

I don't own a micro korg, i was really considering getting a ms 2000, this seems interesting. I'll have to sit down infront of one. I hate the small keys though, i may have to go with a rack, i don't need another keyboard

Good thing is it should push the price of the non-XL unit down. I quite fancy buying one again.
