I've always been a big fan of my XL.... got it last October, and i would never think of changing.... yeah to get some of the specs of the 1000, u would have spend some extra loot.... but who says you need to? I track out all ma beats in under 5 minutes and only have the standard outs.... i've never used an FX board, and the only extra piece i bought was the SCSI Zip, which did cost a lil bit, but i know plenty of people who use the standard floppy.... BUT for the price of a new 1000, u could probably buy an XL full blown.... just my 2 cents

good lookin on the tutor post. i'm currently in the mind bogling decision of deciding to go for the xl or the 1000. i currently have a 2000 and just want to upgrade. i'd love to get a 4000 (used of cource) but the lowest priced ones on ebay are in the uk. just a lil uneasy cause none of them take paypal and thats alot of money to wire or whatever. from tutors info seems kind of clear to go with the xl. not being able to transfer 2000 pgms and files to the 1000 reallly sucks. also, Velocity sensitive attack and decay params are gone?? thats sucks too. has anyone made this switch or do u have both maybe. im going to order a new one today probably. any additional feedback would help.
