the app is called synth studio and is made by akai. but no info on what it can actually do.

I'll agree with others... looks interesting. Hopefully this attachment is able to support other iPhone apps and doesn't have a closed API/architecture. There are several other synths that I'd like to be able to control with a true keyboard.

Definitely interested in the direction this could go though...

so it seems quite possible that the midi keyboard would work the same way.

That'd be a bummer, and make it far less useful.

thats a limitation of being in so many different apps: safari, things, tipulatar, facebook etc.

this is 1 MUSIC app, you need 1 MUSIC keyboard........NEXT!

I think the prelude to the MPC5000v is what the real concern should be. The SOFTWARE. This will not stay in 1st gear i promise you. "It seems quite possible that" Akai has PLENTY MPKs and MPDs for dat azz if you need a TOP SHELF midi controller. Stay positive, NAMM is tomorrow!

Not entirely friend....

Anybody here have the Korg DS????? Every one of those menus is included on the Korg program. And the Korg DS (while cool) is limited like a hooker with no rubbers.

Looks can be deceiving.
