Seconded. I know this aint a vs forum, but MPC is the only machine that I feel like playing. its all there, no F*********** around with double functions, deep menus, PC issues whatever. Its like my new bass guitar(!?!)

Still, if PC interfacing is the way companies are gonna continue going...Cool; that leaves more old s*** for us to buy cheaper.

i don't see the point of having a hardware component for something that is essentially mostly computer-based. i guess the idea is that you make the tracks on a pc and transfer them to the 606 for live use or whatever, but then there's still the 8-voice/4 tracks limit, which seems really restrictive (in fact i wonder if this is right...4 tracks only ?!?!).

Damn this is mad nice... I loved my SP-505 (my first love) though I opted to move up to the big dogs and get my 2000XL (my true love)... It's got Cakewalk software and mad new features... I might sell my 505 and move up to that... Chop and BPM Sync was great on the 505 so I could only imagine it's gotten better for this model...

And if it's like the 505, then yes sans soleil, it does have only four tracks... None the less it still is a great piece of equipment...
