Computer recording interface options

I run an RME 9632. I have 10 in/outputs right now including s/pdif that i can use at the same time. You can add another 8 inputs or more if need be to this setup.
I think the card goes up to 32 channels fully expanded, and the converters are very good indeed.

Before parting with your cash, have a look at the RME site they have many cards that will fit your bill:

For Real? I guess it must be how the card is setup up. I have S/PDIF RCA and optical I/O on the 1212M. The optical I/O is swappable between ADAT and S/PDIF so that may be why you can't use them both at the same time with this interface. Cool good to know, thanks Ripper.

Yeah its pretty cool, I have my effects processor in the SPDIF via RCA connectors, and the AI-3 in the lightpipe ADAT. Another cool thing is the 7-8 select, you can have your turntables hooked up via rca and then just toggle back and forth by hitting that button, same thing for the 4 pres. you have have your boards in the 1/4" and your mics in the XLR, and hit the button on the front panel to toggle back and forth. When things slow down over here and I get a sec to go to the store, I wanna get the footswitch to make like a little easier.
