crazy about those seinheisers.
i have beyer dynamics DT770 PRO 80 OHMs. Sound wise i think they are great. I get decent results. if you check my sig, all 3 tracks are rendered from maschine, then some compression in reaper for loudness applied. no real mixing - mixing in maschine i guess.. using the beyer dynamics. both made and finished using the headphonse. I say no real mixing because the mix you hear is what it was when I made the beats.......if you go here:

my complaints:
1. build quality. overall they seem okay at first. But I've owned a pair of sony's in the past and I would trust sony's build quality compared to these. They our stout. And actually Im on my second pair. My first pair bought brand new I had to send back to factory because the left ear would drop out. My guess was some loose wire/sodering in the wiring connector, if i would twist the wire the correct way they would work. That was a 2 week old headphones mind you. The new ones have been good though. But i would say if you accidently yanked the cord, you could have trouble. I wouldnt say that about the sony's Ive done some accidently stupid shit with my sony's and everything turned out okay.
2. the plastic piece on ouside of these is comming loose. Its just the name/model plate, but the glue has come undone and is separating. IMHO not a good sign overall considering the price of these ****.
3. the ear padding is nice, covers my ears fully and definately does the job of isolation. however, the quailty does not seem as sturdy as it should be. If i let my kids have these for a day im sure there would be seperation. pluss they are fabric felty like, so they actually appear to be dirty, they will absorb dirt overtime. even if you aint no greasy mutha fcker.
4.size. at first i didnt care about the size. but after traveling a bit and using these as my main cans.....I wish they folded. They fit my head nice, but the problem is that they dont fit nicely in my bag. I guess this depends on your requirements, but a little hinge would be easy enough to make them more portable. I would never where these outside my house.
5.loudness. I feel like i cant get these to be loud. I knwo that sounds wierd, and maybe im doing something stupid....like not using them with proper soundcard. but when they are directly in the stock soundcard of my laptop, they arent loud enough. If they are in my audio inteface "motu 828 mk3" they are fine. but overall i do find that i end up cranking volumes way too much. in maschine my levels are always red after like 5 minutes of making a beat.
pros
1. they sound clear to me and acurate. I feel like i actually will get exactly what I hear.
2.isolation. .this is a good and bad thing. technically isolation isnt what you want for a natural mix.....but they do isolate outside sounds.. my wife yells at me all the time when i dont respond to her cause i dont hear her.
3.bass response. i feel like i actually hear the bass and know right where its at. first time this has happened to me with headphonse.
conclusion. I can't deny the sound I get from these. I like them, everything seems to be very accurate. And I can hear the bass nicely. but overall i think for the price - the build quality should be better. I tend to baby all my equipment and even doing so with these, i highly doubt they will last me another year or so. something stupid will happen and they will be out............the sony's in comparison seem to be better build - sound wise....thats up to you.
So Although overall i'd say these are good headphone, build quality and portablility will make me look elsewhere when its time for a new pair. These are definately NOT dj headphones or giging headphonse and are probably not emcee/booth headphones....
