True but is seems pretty flexible though...

Oscillator Mixer with sub-osc, sawtooth, square, white noise, triangle, audio in

Audio in excites me...imagine running a minitaur into the brute. :o

don't know but i don't think it can compete with the new moog minitaur
i've watched a video on youtube but it seems it doesn't have a really good sound
i think i would prefere the minitaur which is in the same price range

I hear ya- I'll really need to hear both before making a decision, but I really like the footprint of the 25 keyed minibrute. :D Also, the minitaur is labeled as a "bass" synth- but I'm sure it's capable of making all kinds of sounds, right? If not, the brute will most likely win with me.

Yup, I was thinking that too. I want to reach all the frequencies, not just thick basses.

Yes sir really not like what you consider a one osc synth to sound like. all those wave forms with their own sliders so you can mix and match any or all of them together on top of the osc. then the sub osc too with that nasty feedback loop that they nicely coined "brute factor" and the metalizer. so sick. close your eyes and listen your ears will not tell you its a one osc synth.

this thing is anything but a typical little one osc synth. I cant wait to experiment with CV on this and my slim phatty.

oh yes, they say (in one of the presentation videos) that the minitaur frequency range goes from 20 hz to 20 khz...
so i think it could do more than only bass sounds, no doubt

Yeah I remember hearing that and then it's marketed as a bass synth.
Maybe cause that's what it's "best" at I don't know.

if you're thinking of the video I saw, it says the filter goes from 20Hz to 20kHz, that doesn't mean the oscillators go that high

Haaa yeah that happened to me too we should have made one thread "mini wars: minitaur vs minibrute" lol cause we just keep bouncing between the two.
Hind sight is mini mini
