Yo..

If the MFC envelope can be triggerd by MIDI CC, couldn't you just enter the appropriate CC into your MPC sequence right where you need it Manually???

I know the MPC only plays and records certain types of controller data, but surely it would send that particular CC right???

I will wait for the experts on this one...Im really interested in one of these puppies so I will wait for your replys!!!

well you can do that and change most of the controls on the surface indivually -you can also record individual knob changes and position a scene change in the sequence which will change EVERY perameter on the MFC at the same time - so you could switch between different settings for intro, verse, chorus, outro etc... waht's more the way it quickly morphs between them is slick and natural - no clicking or nasty digital silences

cunning little devil it is

Wow... that Scene morphing kinda action sounds ill...

I just read the Akai website and they say you can trigger the envelope by Midi Note ON messages on a dedicated Midi channel...

Richard, Dude do you have to manually program those Scene memories into your sequences..??? Do you have experience doing this on a MPC 2KXL ?? How hard is it to do..??

I know for example the Electrix Filter Queen is fully controlable by MIDI, does it have the simular scene programing functions too, cause I know the MPC only records limited Midi Data...???

Im saving my money now for one of these babies...If they sound as good as people reckn'

its really easy - you either just record it in to the sequence while playing or enter the edit screen on the MPC and press + and - on the MFC and it autamatically sends the data at the beginning of the sequence. I think you can add it to an existing track on put it on its own dedicated track. Your nfo isn't quite right the electrix filter queen has no midi - the bigger unit does but I've never used it... if you've got an MPC I'd go for the MFC as it integrates really well - you really need the 8 output card to get the best out of it though as it has three inputs

To much work for me. Using existing note data would be so much easier.

" just read the Akai website and they say you can trigger the envelope by Midi Note ON messages on a dedicated Midi channel"

I think that is a mistake. Not mentioned in the manual and there is not any method to set a certain note.
