Help with choosing a Mixer

Just to clear up a thing I use two Mackie LM3404's and a 1202 for remote work.

Ouch, maybe it's just me but I could not recommend a behringer product. Sure the prices might be sweet, but they also don't build quality products if you ask me.

I'd personally look into a Yamaha digital mixer.

i am co-signing for behringer....they have some nice products.....come on...think about what you are saying....this company actually built a replica Mackie board and got sued...so you think they can't make banging product?

A replica with lesser quality parts. If it were a 100% tried and true replica it would cost very close to the mackie board. I've used behringer mixers (dj and multi bus varieties) for quite a bit. I've used their compressors, which sound like total ass. I'm not a fan of the company and can put my $0.02 in on it *g*

I would love to get a new mixer for DJing, and I would love to get a real mixer instead of the digital one I'm using. So I have budgeted myself so I can afford something that will work within my max spending limits. I like the Yamaha 01v, the 01v96 is a sweet upgrade to a nice digital mixer. So I'll save up and get something that I know will work and sound better.

I own a Behringer mixer (cheap 1202, no fx) and I must say you gotta try it to believe the quality in the product. Unless your like maddly infatuated wit the Mackie brand I would gurantee that you will love it. I know a few sound engineers who make beats on the side that use behringer mixers, the expensive digital ones of course, and they love em'. Of course you have your mackie lovers who just love mackie, behringer happens to be "the mackie rip-off". Which is true but heres the good part, you pay about 75% less for a behringer and you get the same quality sometimes with more features. I would be mad to if I was a "Mackie brand fiend."
