Nope no change in name, justa diff product. Roger says on his site, linndrum 2 is still in the works. It will most likly have similar design thou.

The funny thing about the Smith/Linn demo video is Linn trying to sell the idea that 2 rows of 8 pads is better than 4 rows of 4. For space saving...yes. But for me, that's it. Its his (Linn) fault I feel in love with the 4x4 design in the first place.
