what ever award you may get it will never be Musically related in any way, Gear or Production.

Just like all the time you spent making the "Massacre" and transcribing lyrics off Ex's page?

"Just have a XL and a Macbook, no interface to work with for the moment, so my Final Mixes sound pretty bad, either too much Low-End or not Enough... But anyways, working with what i got and working on getting my setup a little more legit"

A thang with virtual on a macbook would be as good as any major studio.... Dreams do come true

Went to beatkangz.com to see if they put up a forum yet (which I suggested to them in email half a year ago), and there's a "Latest Customer Reviews" module on the front.

Here's the top snippet:

Tha Ghost - Owner Of Killgod Entertainment wrote:the beat thang virtual is the shit!!

i just got mine today and blows programs like fruity loops and reason right outta the water

I was using Fruity Loops back in '98, and it could do more 10 years ago than Beat Thang does today.

That doesn't mean Beat Thang can't grow, but how could it possibly blow FL Studio out of the water? Right now it doesn't do much other than sample, build kits, and let you record the patterns of pads you tap, arrange the patterns into songs, and mix in some FX. That's basic, and something every sampler/sequencer should be able to do. You can even code similar basic functionality in your web browser, or iPhone, which it seems they're doing.

Are people really not able to understand the difference between something like FL Studio and a basic sampler? Is this a fake review? How could anyone possibly say something like that? It's like saying, "This bicycle is really great! It's way better than a Yamaha FZ1." What? One has pedals, the other is a 163 hp streetbike.

A search for the reviewer gives:
http://www.myspace.com/thaghost666

There's music there, I wonder if he made it? There must be something going on here, does anyone really believe Beat Thang is anywhere near the power of FL Studio?

Does FL studio come with hundreds of kits inst and thousands of samples? Does it have hardware to match?
By Jamon Thu Aug 27, 2009 2:35 am
Ya it comes with samples, and instruments, and effects. It really is nowhere near a fair comparison. FL Studio even has a little MPC-like module called FPC, and virtual turntable for scratching.

Hardware is the strong point and the only reason why the Beat Thang has potential. But the software is nowhere near that level yet, everyone knows that. Even fans are thinking more of the future.

If the software develops to the point where it can do everything the MPC can do today, then it could potentially blow FL Studio out of the water for some people for hands-on workflow.

But everyone should know that takes time, and work. To say it's already there today is either a lie, or delusion. It isn't there. The supporters are here because they believe it will be someday.

I can download thousands of sounds in 10 minutes that would probably be better than the ones offered by the burger kangz! I can then use them sounds in Kontakt, Reason, my 2500 or FL and I suspect each option would have way more creative possibilities than the btv.

Wait, why don't you know about FL Studio and the MPC? How can you make music, and not be familiar with the tools, or the President of a beat-making software, and not know the competition?

Download the demo of FL Studio. Maybe you'll be so impressed you'll give up on the Thang and just use Fruity.
