When will you ever learn : " And yes Support your own " ...... Aww, stated.

I will support any one with a good soul and loving heart .... God can judge me on that and that alone .... As for those that preach divisive nonsense, I pray that one day you truly realise the impact of your ill-considered words !!

Here's a little enlightening tip for you ( might just activtate a brain cell or two ) : You are selling your product in an global open market system. A system that doesn't allow racial bias's to be stated in ads from a legal point of view in the vast majority of countries you would need to sell in ... need I really go one here ?!!

This view of 'our people' and 'our own' is a seriously dangerous and destructive view that is badly prominent in certain areas of American societies. hey, why don't you just introdude a form of 'Aparthied' over there in teh US - your communities are sickenly segrgated anyways. When I was in New York last, I couldn't wait to leave the people we were often around because their minds were so truly messed up and clouded by very warped ideas of race and what it is supposed to mean for one and all.

I'll pray for you all.

Er, please excuse the 'typos' in my last post ... was working whilst trying to type that post.

ok ... i'm gonna come off the fence and stop jerkin around

i do believe it exists, i'm just trippin out for a laugh on that :)

i don't like the physical appearance of this thing, this is important, not the most important thing, but still important ... an artist has to foster a close relationship with his tools and if something makes you want to blind yourself whenever you look at it then that 'aint good .. it's not just the grillz and paintz, i think the layout looks cluttered an unergonomic and nipples like that belong on girls not drum machines ;)

but

if it lives up to the specs and the os is good then i think it'll be a great bit of hardware

but more importantly, this is awesome what these guys have pulled off, you've gotta go them some props

as for the marketing, yeah it's lame but it's just marketing

is it racist, i don't find it so, i'm a white european .. am i missing something?

hahahahahahahahahha!!!
oh mate u just made jellyjimbo look ignorant as!! :D

lol! nice line nym, the irony of the statement was not lost on me :)

sinamatik, i assure you i'm not ignorant about race but i am white so i guess i can never have the perspective of somebody who isn't

racism is not the preserve of the white man anyway, look at the caste system in india for example

i think the point about racism is whether we are able to acknowledge rather than deny our prejudices and act accordingly, to look beyond our fears and assumptions, to educate ourselves in other words

i am always willing to be educated on any matter of social justice, i may be ignorant but i'll never be bigoted

actually since watching a newer video on the beat thang, I actually think it will be a fun machine to play with... It has nice flow, and it seems small enough to lugg around. The machine seems pretty real to me, lets hope it becomes real in the music shops. And seeing pops pull out the guitar and jam along, it kind of seems like something I could easily do with my pops since he is a guitar player too and I dont really get the oppertunity let alone the method to jam with him using my music. I actually like the damn thang.

Props to them for not only getting a machine built, working, and talked about... but proving they weren't bullsh!tting us by showing something actually neat and fun looking.

there is no race.

it will be the year 80,000 AD and you will still be talking about "race". retards, it's an european interpretation of something that doesn't even need an interpretation.

yes we have different skeletal structures, genotypes, and blah blah blah.

If i kidnapped 25 light-skinned babies from switzerland and the same from sierra leone. Then I raise the sierra leoniese babies in switzerland and the swiss babies in sierra leone, in 30 years, what society would these babies identify with REGARDLESS OF SKELETAL STRUCTURE AND PHENOTYPE? YEAH, THEY WOULD ASSOCIATE ONLY WITH THE SOCIETIES THAT THEY WERE RAISED IN.

Does this make sense to ANY OF YOU?

you know what, forget I even said anything. i poop on all of you.

Uh, take the race stuff to another thread. This thread is about hating on and/or giving props to the makers of the
Beat Thang.[/quote]

and the newer prototype with the bigger colour screen seems much better aswell.

Did you guys notice that the models with the bigger screen looked better somehow?
I have to give these guys credit though because they got a bunch of nay sayers to create a lot of buzz for their product.
I think this thread may have in some way pushed the Beat Kangz to try even harder to get the Beat Thang into stores.
Man I can't wait to come back to this thread a year from now, either way I think it's a great story.
