i meant a little bit more specific. as in what programs he uses.. how he liked it as a recorder with whatever program he uses.

i'm interested in that too..... as i only use hardware but would like to start recording on computer. mainly due to the editing power of pro tools.

I have a mac mini and i use logic to record my beats but you have to get a interface b/c the mac mini has no sound input

That is a smart idea even if it did have an audio in.

what kind of interface do you have? do you have logic express?

i'm interested because the mac mini is so low priced. it'd be nice to have a small, portable setup that i could take with me to places (mac mini, small interface, mpc 1000). A lot of the recordings that I am working on will have vocals done in weird places.. so... it'd be a help to know what you think of that system.

You'd be better off with a laptop....unless you think bringing an LCD screen with you is cool.

yoshimi - how do you like the sonic alienator? i've had my eyes on those for a while...

right now im using m-audio's fast track but im going to upgrade to a firewire interface soon

I just got it...so far it is cool...but I'm not sure how useful it is going to be for me. I seem to like it at smaller increments. I can see me using it to destroy a loop...gradually making the loop worse in bit rate. I want to try it on vocals as well.

yeah - they seem to be able to destroy stuff a lot.

another firewire 250 gig external drive
samsung 15" widescreen (bottom of the pic, was blazing and watching a movie)
running ableton live with the uc-33

you guys found everything in the wheres waldo picture, but you missed the bowl of herbs laying on the tt case......i think now my studios cool now
