what kind of interface do you have? do you have logic express?
i'm interested because the mac mini is so low priced. it'd be nice to have a small, portable setup that i could take with me to places (mac mini, small interface, mpc 1000). A lot of the recordings that I am working on will have vocals done in weird places.. so... it'd be a help to know what you think of that system.
You'd be better off with a laptop....unless you think bringing an LCD screen with you is cool.
thanks for the advice. already got a powerbook 12" that i use for school. I want a dedicated machine, and the monitor thing isn't a problem... everywhere i'll be going will have a computer monitor, just not a computer that's powerful enough to be running any serious recording application. That and i think it'd be bad ass to rack mount a mini with the rest of my shit.
Another thought of mine is having the book be a machine to track with and having the mini (w/ a larger screen back in my apt.) be my machine for editing/mastering. Regardless, I'm looking for general reviews of the mini. I know this is the wrong place for this.. You want me to start a different thread so you guys can keep looking at pictures? Sorry.
