Just because you are conservative...doesn't mean everyone has to be. Sure, this will never be pop... but it is alot more interesting than the cookie cutter hip-hop being produced these days.

I need to pick up a rack as well, and find a new spot for those rack components and my mixer. My computer monitor is crapping out on me, so eventually I'll have to replace it, since it's irritating the hell out of my eyes.

some people forget that hiphop ain't the only genre of music people make with MPCs and other studio gear.

Here is some of my set-up... I set stuff up as I need it due to lack of space in front of my monitors. I will have to re-think this soon though...and get everything set-up. I'm mixing down tracks for my new CD, so I'm just learning all my new equipment. Once my new CD is done...I have to get to work implementing all of this stuff so I can really use it to its potential.

Don't worry about the pads. They feel a bit loose but they'll last.

I make experimental hip-hop. My latest stuff is done with just a Monomachine... beats and all. Kind of minimal and small sounding... I will post them soon.

1. Yes, they are flimsy in a no feeling, plasticky sort of way...but they are durable and do not double trigger or fail. They are not made to be like an MPC though.

2. Yes, you can use it as a effects processor... a stereo effects processor as well.

I have and actually... depending on my mood I like it.
But then again, I'm not really into hiphop. I guess I don't like the competition trying to put as many words like "fcku" in a verse. I like the beats though...

Do you plan on bending your Casio SK-1? I'm looking to buy one soon and bend it, so I can use it with my Glitchdesk Bend Console.

I don't have the patience for bending to tell you the truth...I barely have time to make music these days. I actually use the sampler stock... and like it. Maybe one of these years I will try bending something. That console makes me want to get into it.
