I stepped out of my lab for the night so i forget what kind it is, but its just temporary, i plan on investing on a good one now that i know they work...n good looks on the three prongs, ill take the two probg thing off as soon as i get home.

Any good di boxes u recomemd? The one now runs on a nine volt battery.

I got that one...it gives back a ton of hissing noise tho, but its good enoufh to hold me over till i get a better one.

either the ground lift on the di box or the 3->2 prong adapter will work - you don't need both.

is the hissing you are getting from the di the same noise? or is it a new kind of hiss.

i guarantee the 3->2 prong adapter will fix the problem but as has been said, it is not very safe so i don't recommend leaving it on. but there you go - now you know its a ground loop so you know what to fix.

just do not leave the cheater plug on - find another solution, i hope a new di works better for you.

^ its like a loud white noise, i guess is how i can explain it. i read the reviews and i guess a lot of people have that noise with those cheap di boxes. im gonna get a better one maybe drop a few hundred on a good one so i vcan be done with this issue for good.

the cheap one is a good temporary fix.
