BEATKANGZ wrote:Yo Aerodynamic i just went to your myspace...... yep you need less time typing and more time beat making. You prove my point lil homie. Sounds like you need a thang for sure. I've earned my ego trust me and I have the battle scars to prove it. Not trying to be funny just being real wit you.

Real talk

wowwwww,
figures you'd check my myspace to see my crunk azzzz beatzzz.
first off, i'm not trying to make "hits"
i make the music i enjoy and love.
just so happens you stumbled on year old ambient music tracks i made.

trust me, i'm very happy with what i'm doing.
i don't need anyones approval or complements to be.
especially not yours, no offense.

to me thats what music is about.
its not about making hawt azz trax.
its about accurately reproducing the tunes i imagine and think sound good.

check back in a few months when i have my new songs recorded.
they're alot different than the old ones.
much more instrumentation.
but you'll probably hate them to.
which to me will symbolize their completion. :D

I didn't hate your work.... It's just that you are on a drum machine forum talking about a beat machine and yet your music has no beats! WTF : )

There is no right way to make music. Art is subjective. I'm just sayn before you start flame throwing you better make sure you got heat. If you gonna talk beat machines and make Lil smart comments to a guy who has created two machines now you better at least be making beats......

to you, its a beat machine.
for me the sampler is a blank canvas.
something to record and sequence sounds.
not just percussion.
especially not the percussion used in your style of beats.
i successively make the music i enjoy using an mpc1000.
so to me its not a beat machine. its a music machine.

do i make hip hop beats?
absolutely.
do i record and distribute them?
absolutely not.

to me most hip hop beats are pretty boring.
why crowd the internet with the same boom clap boom boom clap thats been uploaded by thousands others?

thats not to say i don't like all the hip hop i make.
i just like to share my more obscure and different pieces.

and i didn't make any smart ass comments.
i just stated my opinions on your interaction with fellow music makers and how much of a dick you were being.
and still are really.

if i wanted to make smart ass comments,
i would've said something with some chuckle value.
like "why don't you do yourself a favor, and sell the thang to fischer-price, before linn decides to come out?
and don't forget the 'ages 5 and up' sticker for safety"
in reference to the jokes made previously on this thread

you see?

Since you guys seem so quick to criticize, who have you notoroius beatmakers made hits for?? Please let us know. I think all of us would be interested in knowing.

Also, Biggie, Pac, etc... were not arrogant, they spoke the the real. People listened because they had skill, wordplay, talent & people knew right off the bat, the min you heard someone like Biggie you had to give him respect. You guys are st blatently annoying & arrogant. Thats not hip hop. If yall are acting like this for a you products marketing scheme good luck, cause it may backfire.

Oh yea, you guys are getting positive reviews elsewere too:

I am not going to lie.... I am not a fan of it right now, but if I hear its good I will research it and maybe buy one. But there has to be enough people saying that. Good equipment is good equipment is good equipment. I just have to hear it from reliable sources before I consider it.

He wants the Beat Thang to become a new standard. I doubt he's worried about the dough. Plus his dad is a famous guitarist, so you know they have money.

Beat Kangz prolly have a good idea of the initial demand, and they're gonna produce units that match that demand. I don't expect them to take a huge loss at any point.

Dude's a businessman. If he wasn't confident that the product would speak for itself, he wouldn't be on here with a cocky attitude. That's all just guessing, though.

Its really not that simple. Good luck trying to find distribution and dealers with only one product in your product line.
Not to mention production costs got to be in the realm of 6 figures plus including initial part orders, molds, and prototypes.

Then there is the small detail of entering a crowded space with no brand equity. Like I say best of luck, its gonna be quite an uphill battle

They already have the StreetBoxx, which they claim is Zooms biggest selling product of all time. Uhm, and they mentioned something about selling direct from the warehouse instead of going through with retailers. I was hoping to demo this unit first, but I'm gonna wait on other peoples reviews before throwing down dough.
