Bought this piece of sh*t for 200 dollars back in 1999, Sadly enough I didnt understand the basics of sequencing or sampling at the time, and was dealt a rude awakening when I found out that this machine couldnt do either efficiently.

Bought this Piece of sh*t next (no offense to the people who prize these things  )....Got a refund 1 week later!

WHY: HORRIBLE..SOUNDS REAL DIGITAL AND UN-REAL..

mbox 1
Image
WHY: JUST WACK IN GENERAL..NO MIDI..AND THE WHOLE INPUT OUTPUT ON THE SAME KNOB GETS REAL ANNOYING..

asr-10
Image
WHY: HARD PIECE OF EQUIPMENT TO LEARN..SPECIALLY AFTER USING A MPC MY WHOLE LIFE AND NOTHING ELSE..I BOUGHT IT AS A FALL BACK PIECE SINCE MY 2000 HAD BROKE..AND USING THE ASR-10 ALONE I CAN HONESTLY SAY IS NOT A GOOD IDEA..FOR ME ATLEAST..MAYBE THE SAMPLER/EFFECTS? BUT I NEVER KEPT IT LONG ENOUGH TO FIND OUT..I SOLD IT WITHIN THE SAME MONTH..PROBABLY 2WEEKS AFTER BUYING IT..

mo phatt
Image
WHY: DECENT SYNTHS AND DECENT STRINGS,EVERYTHING ELSE IS WACK

eps-16
Image
WHY: GOT IT AS A BIRTHDAY PRESENT..HAD TO GO THRU HELL FOR THE BOOT DISK..THEN I JUST COULDNT FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE IT WORK PROPERLY..SHIT WAS A LEARNING CURVE AND A HALF..HATED IT IN GENERAL..NOT FOR ME..

numark dj monitors
Image
WHY: NOT LOUD AND CLEAR ENOUGH..NOW I USE EM AS A FOOT REST..

and probably a couple other things i cant think of at tha moment..

I've been pretty lucky as my gear list grows- the only two things I somewhat regret was:

The Juno G I bought: not because it's a bad keyboard, but because I don't use it as much as I thought I would

and

my mbox 2 "pro". Ugh. I have gotten TONS of use out of this thing, but I do kick myself for not getting a BLA modded 002r instead. Oh well. live and learn.

sh!t.. I think some of us are reaching here..
I have junoG.. for the price, sounds and features? show me something better. Ill go buy one. 8)

espeically for cats without mpc's. Im not really fond of the sequencer in it, but the version 2.0 update and the new sample features, plus the sample time, the build in sounds.. its a dope ass synth for the money.
I know what you mean though about not using it as much as you thought you would tho..
I feel the same about my junoG, my MM6, my TR rack and my MoPhatt. LOL

mpc 3000
akai s-950

I know, How can I say this?

mpc 3000 was hype sucked to chop and the lack of features i guess.

akai s-950 sub menu after page and menus to sample one damn thing, my emax is twice as fast and sounds twice as fat.

No reaching here, Triple X- I wish I didn't buy it. While it does have nice features, that $900 would look better in my bank account rather than in the corner :?

Regretful Purchase??

My MPK-49. For a lttle bit more $$$, I should have gotten one of the CME VX series midi keyboards. :(

true.. I paid 8 for mine. got it when the gig bag and srx card rebate was going on..
sell it.. you could get everybit of 700 bucks for if its in good condition. which from the sound of how often you use it, it must be immaculate. lol

Yeah, I got the gigbag, SRX expansion deal as well, and my guy at GC threw in some Beyer headphones, which bumped it up to $900. And you're right- it is PRISTINE.
I've maybe used it on a whopping 1.3% of all beats I've done.
