As far as this forum and its owner are concerned this issue has already been covered.

Stay on topic otherwise this thread will follow the last one into oblivion.

Time to move on.

I actually think they'll ship the Beat Thang before going bankrupt, not really worried about that. But I'm hoping they'll take their time and polish it. It's easily imagined where they ship hardware with some basic problem they could've fixed had they did some beta testing beforehand.

Their software trial still isn't available for the public. After they release that, there should be months of testing and updates before knowing that the hardware is finalized for what people want it for. Then they should spend a couple months beta testing the hardware with real users.

They'll probably rush it and release what they've got, and people will probably still buy, and say it's perfect. Just look at Akai with things like the MPC-500. If they cared a little more, and gave some of us the machines to test, we could've helped them work out the bugs and hardware issues.

Instead these companies just do the bare necessities to get their profit for the quarter.

It's optimized for you, all-in-one with built-in audio interface, MIDI, footswitch, mod/pitch wheels, etc. Plus it comes with a sound library aimed at hip hop. People buy romplers for the sounds, some will want the Beat Thang for the same reason.

Why isn't The Beat Thang being marketed in retail music stores?

Jamon wrote:Checked out beatkangz.com, noticed the front page was different, "Get on the VIP list to pre-order the BEAT THANG". Clicked the hardware page for more info. Previously it said the first batch would be done end of September, shipping October 1st. It was supposed to be $999 pre-order, free shipping, free virtual.

I pre-ordered, it turned out to be $1,011 after shipping. Now when you click that same page I ordered from, "The Beat Thang machine will begin shipping this Winter. Please get on our Beat Thang V.I.P list to be the first notified when they are available for Pre-sales."

What does that mean? Winter? So some time between around January and April? After I already bought an Akai MPC-2500, Korg microSAMPLER, and Roland SP-404SX? Why? What's left for the Thang?

What about people who pre-ordered. What does that mean now? I'm probably the only person in the world who pre-ordered, but still thought you'd like to know.

I feel for you but at the same time Im laughing at you.

Why the fvck would you buy that piece of sh1t?
Knowing that you havent seen it perform.
Knowing that they have no relative history.
Knowing that they have no depth behind their product.
Knowing that they act like idiots.

Its Just Stupid.

but im sure shit will be out and this will give em more time to make the software air tight as all feedback from the software release will let em tweak so its fully featured from day one.

im sure it will be out i doubt they are worreid about the 404ex the micro sample could steal some thunder but they got they fan base and im sure once its actually out and peeps see it in usealot of peeps will be won over.

Because at this point in time it still doesn't exist! Plus instead of releasing a great product that sells by the truckload due to great reviews and user feedback, the kangz would rather use a shady marketing scam to shift units.
