You could have just gone with the deck plates as they are much easier than painting the whole surface
and look great.

Yo Sonseelye, I just saw a beat to Fu*k up 1200 on Ebay for $120.00. I almost bought it just because of yours and I don't even need one. Man that custom work is going to get me in trouble soon.

thanks everyone...hey tap i got u in mind dont worry,,,,both my computers crashed and are at the computer repair joint gettin fixed up nice..i should have them back in a few days,,im on my wifes comp at work so i,,wont be round for a couple days..

update...
well i ended up spraying my clear to soon and i got peel,,so i sanded it down to bare metal and created a new color for it..its gun metal gray with indy silver flake and a heavy dose of clear..looks real nice,,i'll post pics as soon as my computers get back to me..
on a good note,i contacted all of the dealers where i'll be getting my parts and every one of them were in stock..so im super physched that this thing will be completely brand new...

it should last me a while ey'..

got my first batch of parts today and all other orders are shipped out except for the led's,waiting on a confirmation e-mail.

u guys r really going to like the newcolor..it looks close to a factory color..(but of my own)
dont worry i been taking plenty of pics to catch every one up...
im not going to start building it untill every part is here..hopefully within 2 weeks..
my furthest part is comming from united kingdom..so however long that takes and then i'll be hookin it up..

wonder if it was the same one i was checking on...did it have an old brown power cable on it?lol

Did you paint it yourself?? What did you use? Ish looks nice! Check out djforums.com there's a section for equip mods and you'll see a few Technics that have gotten done over like yours.

yeah i painted it,,,but now its already a dif color...super sick..i cant wait to get the computers back to post up these pics..

not really my style man..im a more permanent type dude..

back in action with a huge pic post for u guys....well as u know the com was down so i had plenty of time to do some re-painting..im about sick of the red my self so im changing the majority of my stuff to a grey color that i made..

for the table..it ended up getting a bubble under the clear and above the grey on the silver..it was ughguhgghug...anyhow i ended up sanding it bare and re-spraying it..

and i have also recieved about 50% of the parts to rebuild it..

well i think another batch of parts should be here today,,and i also had a screen print made for the deck..its a custom technics screen,,pretty dope,,hopefully they call today,,was suppose to be yesterday but never called...

maybe today.

got the tone arm fixing plate and deck stickers today..i think monday i should get a package that will allow me to complete the tone arm.
i'll do a little pic post of how to rebuild a tone arm..

well its sunday so u know im not getting any mail today wich means,,no parts for the 1200,wich means time to customize something else
looks like its going to be a kp2..be back with results!!!

well i bought a black and a silver pitch control decal and decided to go with the black,,i think it looks more "clean"


also i think i found something that sets technics aside from other tables..

look at the two pods i have circled..



notice the top one says pitch..

a technics sl-1200mk2 has a pitch range of -+8 and if you turn this pod all the way clockwise you will end up with a -+12 pitch range...i know not a lot of people need such a range but i thought it was quite cool that i was able to do this..

also i noticed another pod that had the word "brake" labeled next to it..so after messing with it a bit,,i could get it to brake so fast it spun backwards..


so actually when u see tables with these adjustments and they act like technics dont have them,,,its because technics are factory set and hidden...good move..
