Not trying to be funny, but you could have done the same thing with a radio, or the tv. Maybe I was expecting more interaction with the software besides playing a preset beat.
Your nice on the guitar though!

It amazes how some people could still want this "thang" after all the bs

Lol @ the flame wars w/ the Beat Kangs , thier secondary accounts , and a small but dedicated army of followers praising thier product (for God knows what in return) in different forums

I think people are just trying to be informed so they know what this machine can do that their MPC can't. Its a new production tool and we're all beatsmiths. No one is trying to use a butter knife if a screwdriver is available. :)

lets just see what joes review turns up, it does look a bit clunky like one of them gadgets from the old batman movie.

they could of given it a sleeker profile like maschine or korg esx.

not bothered by the boot time as its loading all the internal sounds, remember its a sound module.

when used to set my mpc to load all my old patterns and samples it took time too, however i thought cos it was reading off solid state memory thought itd be a bit quicker.

like the volume meter, the kicks and sounds coming out sounded like it had some weight.

the peeps that were early adopters got caught in the hype so they gonna down the product by default. thats what u get when ur an early adopter of any technology ur subject to bugs.

yes cos these dudes are a small unestablished outfit this was magnified plus the hip hop swagger and communication style had peeps pissed.

but ima see what the reviews turn up wait for shit to drop and get the retail version reviews then evaluate.

i also feel shit is still over priced so will not be jumping on board as soon as it drops besides im very happy with maschine right now.

but after a year of the joint being out if the price falls to around $600 mark its a good deal.

"then get maschine and stop playing around.. all the beat thang hardware basically is is a computer running a software.."

Thats the same for any drum machine. Microchips and software run all of em.
I really don't want anything. I'm not trying to learn anything new right now. My MPC2500, turntable, and creativity can do just about anything that I want, but like i said, its all about being informed. Times are changing. 10 years ago, you HAD to spend $1600 on a MPC and physically buy music to resample. Today, you can spend $300 on an E-Machine computer and download Fruity Loops/albums for free. We should all be aware of what is available regarding music production since this is what we do.

I'm patiently waiting on tablets that are more powerful and efficient than the current models. I know they're coming, another 2-3 years down the line.

Combine one of them with maschine........it's a wrap, for errybody.

are we talking about all the bs on this forum? or has bs occured elsewhere? im wondering, cause you guys acting like the mpc forums is the only place people go for knowledge on music equipment. I guess my point is that just cause us mpc users are wise to all the bs doesnt really mean shit.

for every 1 mpc owner there about 10 more haters, clowns, wannabe producers out there that will buy into the bs! know what im sayin?

How is the time-stretching and what is the practical reason for 2 SD Slots?

same question bout the 2 sd slots. i mean, that seems like a practical feature for say, an sp404,or asrx or whatever, but if you building this thing right, i'd have a hard drive, usb, and usb host for usb stick. **** sd cards.

The main dude for the company, Aja, got banned from the harmony central forums. Was acting a fool over there.

Their internal beef, where Boom Bap was cut off from the group without any notice. And this was one of the main cats.

I have also seen with my own eyes; They delete messages that are too critical of their business and product.

Shame.
