According to the vintage synth website, the ASR-10 had an AES/EBU upgrade option. As cool as the ASR is it doesn't have half the capabilities that the MPC-4000. Maybe this should be an option that Akai should really think about.

portability and firewire would be the only things i can imagine that would even begin to interest me, but i'd only ever buy one used
