Shoot... I cant tell which thread I'm looking at now. This thread should be called MiniBrute vs Minitaur.

Anyway I could've swarn that the Brute was $450 I think its on Sweetwater for $499... still good deal but I must've been mistaken before

I'm gonna create some synth patches on my triton extreme in an attempt to make myself appreciate it more so that I don't spend money on a minibrute or minitaur. I'll later probably post up my pcg patches in the korgonians thread just in case anyone else wants to share some pcg patches.

sidenote, Awave can open pcg's and convert them to damn near any other audio format.

I feel you Lamp... Gearlust will do one of two things to you... empty your pockets or make you an expert on your existing gear. I've been diggin deeper too lately. the "wants" get me everytime.

and it's funny, I've never ever had gearlust UNTIL this year with the pics of MINIBRUTE and MINITAUR floating around.

I can resist though, it's not hard at all. I'm really good at separating my wants and needs. THEN, there's the part, where every so often you wanna treat yourself to a want, lmao.

Because if I don't then who will...

I'm very capable with soundforge waveform creation and tritons onboard VERY deep synth tools so I'm good. But you just CANT front on a Moog name ya know.

Lamp i dug down in the 5k synth last week end and surprised myself with a few patches. I know where you coming from. And you have that extreme with the tube warmth too. killer.

Nothing quite beats that seat of your pants ride you get with a true analogue synth. Turn one knob and it's a kick to the nuts, turn another and it's a slap round the face! :D

Ahhh yeah. C'mon Coz. this is tearing me up....

Yo Lamp
Coz is going to buy you, me and B-read a miniBrute when gets his. its the least he can do for egging us on :D

But seriously I think my wife has declared a seize fire on gear at my house. the Brute may see me at the end of the year or even next year. I'll make due.

If I had the money I'd buy the Brute, Taur and the Tempest, but that's a lot of dough.

If I win the lottery I may consider treating a few forum heads but that's a big IF!

Yeah I gotta work with what I got too. I was having some major gear lust earlier, looking at a Roland SH-2 on ebay. But having to pay the rent put everything into perspective.

I've had to drop some serious coin on my car this month, so the Tempest fund is back to square one unfortunately. :(
