I dont have much space where my setup is so i am looking for a keyboard stand that i can get extensions for that i can put my 2000xl on top at an angle. Does anyone know a company that makes this type of stand?

Thanks! Originally, I was gonna buy one of those hospital curtain tracks. I found a site online that sells them, but the parts would have been nearly $150, plus I don't know how solidly I could have mounted it to the ceiling. So I took some measurements and went to an exhaust shop and had them make it out of 1.5" exhaust pipe. That way I was able to mount it to the beams to support the 7lb blanket. The mounting points are simple flanges that would bolt the pipe to a muffler or exhaust manifold/header. Only cost me $50 for them to make it. Then the heavy duty blanket was another $60 and I hung it with some $3 shower curtain hanger thingies! Now I just gotta grab the can of paint out the basement and paint it.

Ha ha I knew it! I saw the flanges and thought to myself "did son really go there". Good thinking man. If it works thats all all that matters.

Congrats on your 1210, bedouin.

If the Shure M44 is a new needle/cartridge,
you will need to break it in before it tracks really well.
The best way to do this for these needles is to just let it play in
the run-out grooves of a record for an hour or two.
It should track alot better after this.
I don't know why this works,
but it does, and this is the only type of needles that I have ever
used that seem to need this...

^^ don't do it, you might destroy your new needle if the record has too sharp cut in the runout grooves! better just scratch some dirtstyle record and let the needle rest on record.

new pics, just got the 4 track 8)

my studio is very simple, pretty ghetto actually but i make it work. check it out-

heres what you see when you first walk in the lab. I know my speakers are no good for mixing, and the placement is horrible, but **** it, i do my best. One day ill get proper monitors.

Image
heres a small percentage of my vinyl collection. I have thousands more records down on cape cod, but i havent been able to get them up to the new spot yet.

Image
this is my new DJ setup. 2 Numark axis 8 cd turntables and a Numark DXM01 24bit digital mixer. i **** love this setup!

Image
heres a closer shot of the Roland vs890 multi tracker, the all black ninja MPC2000, the korg microkorg, and the old school stereo with built in turntable. Ive had that stereo for like 20 years and i still rock it today.

Image
opposite side of the room from the dj setup, leading into the "vocal booth" haha. under the tv is a huge speaker i got for free (dont really use it though). The other matching speaker is down cape cod with my vinyl, i gotta get that shit haha. to the left of that speaker you can see one of my DJ speakers (the other one is just below that, they are stacked on top of eachother). They are Pyle Pro speakers, Active, with 800watt amps built in. I dont use em in the lab, i just rock em when im out DJing. behind that you can see the curtain hiding the vocal booth area.

Image
pull the curtain back and this is what you get. this is where i drop the fire haha, with bruce lee coaching me through my verses.

yeah i need some monitors though!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I was gonna build a real booth, but my wife is ready to have another baby soon and we will need a bigger house. So I don't know how much longer we'll be living here! Sounds good so far. I gotta wait for Surg to come through again to really test it out!

There are some foam bass traps behind the black blanket. I use the corner so nothing reflects back into the mic! I had the mic out in the open when I first opened up shop and I didn't like how the vocals sounded at all.
