D.B. Cooper wrote:Hey tvent,
Im guessing those mics are CAD Equitek e100's, correct?
If so, how do you like them, and what do you primarily use them on?
Ive got one that Ive yet to use, just order the shockmount for it from B&H Audio

D.B. Cooper,
Yes, the are the e100's - the first ones, not the e100.2's.
I don't know that there are any differences, except the newer ones have a little bit of curve to the body and they are sold with the external shockmount already included. I didn't know you could buy the shockmount aftermarket. I'm going to check with B&H myself. Thanks.

I use them for vocals and have also used them for drum overheads and even for recording live events straight to two-track.
They are large-diaphram condesers. I really like them. I just bought that bracket that you see in the picture recently (that allows you to set up the two of them for stereo recording using one stand.) Haven't used it in a real situation yet.

What kind of camera is this? I've seen many pics with this quality on flickr and elsewhere,
but what kind of cameras are these, lol. Do you know one that is cheap?

Its a Nikon D40. About 450$. But in photography its just like in music : Its the one behind the machine and not the equipment itself.

Wise words there, peterpiper!

The D40 sure won't give you any disadvantage though ;) (A couple of photo hobbyists at my workplace have 'em.) The camera in the iPhone however, well that is a whole 'nudder story!

Pics are all crappy phone pics, so let me apologize for the quality in advance.
Also, we move things around from time to time - so if some of the pics look different that is why.

Tvent, that's one of the hottest set-ups around. SP1200, 60, 3000, proper DJ-setup, even some keys, and most importantly RECORDS! To me it's cooler with limited gear and lots of records than lots of gear and 10 records. It's time for me to get out digging more too. Peace

I like the red sonseelye.
I always wanted some red flight cases ever since I saw Jam-Master Jay with some back in like 86 with some.
What did you do to the TT platters to get them red?

Depend on what you want to do / what you need / how a camera need to "feel" for YOU. Read the reviews on dpreview.com and go to a shop to test the cameras that you are interested in.
