Adding Effects to MPC

I have a keyboard w/effects and an mpc w/out effects. I want to use my keyboard effects and apply them to the mpc. Do I assign outputs on the keyboard effects to go to my mixer? I need a little help?

Does your keyboard have a passive line in(s) (ala ASR10)?

I do this exact same thing with my 2kxl and ASR10 alot
cause the effects are off the hook.

Other than that, I don't see it happening. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I don't have a passive line in. I'm kind of a beginner but I was thinking maybe somehow I could send effects from my keyboard(roland fantom-s) to my mixer and then apply the effects to the mpc, although it would apply to all the channels. Aaarrrgg! I need to learn more about my mixer, I don't know what the aux sends and returns are for. As for the effects I'll probably just have to get the effects card for the mp.

The aux send is the level of sound from that channel you are routing to the auxillary out on your mixing board. This is where you route from your mixer to an fx board/rack ect. The aux return is where you plug in your fx send from your fx unit. The knob that corasponds with aux return, is to control the input level of the "Effected signal."

If you had passive ins on your keys, you could route from your aux outs to your passive ins, and then back to your aux in on your mixer.
Then you can use the knobs for each channel to determine how much of an effect, or no effect.
