If anybody here is familiar with the Tascam 488 8 track recorder...

I just wanted to know if its AT ALL possible to hook up a cd burner to the 488 or maybe even to my mixer. Instead of always recording to tapes, i was interested in burning cd's directly from it.

I know I can use my computer, but I was thinking of other ways to do this. Thanks for any help

Tascam CDRW-4U
Its a nice burner, that lets you burn on the fly. So you can hook up your main outs into it and just press record.
Also had a Digital in and Out if you have that option on the tascam 488. Get one on ebay for like 300.

i like the 770 cause you can record ANALOG RCA, DIGITAL RCA or OPTICAL and you can pick it up for $199 most places : seen it for $150.
