MPC 2000XL and what?

Hey all. I have the 2kxl and a proteus 2000 w/mo phatt and planet earth expansions and a midi keyboard. I've also got about 1000 vinyl and a pc which I record into. I'v been reading that the emu products are outdated. What keyboard/sound module do you guys suggest that I get for some good sounds. Thanks in advance.

You've actually got good stuff right to start making hot beats. Don't get biten by the GEAR LUST BUG. from the list you covered you got the goods already. Just gotta be creative. "Outdated" is not always a bad thing. Don't get me wrong I like new stuff also but.....

Thanks Lamp. I appreciate the advice. I guess just hearing and talking to people they say that it's outdated. I'm going to keep it and just keep digging at it. If I go and get some new equipment, I'll just be less creative and have too much to work with. Thanks man!!
