i need help pleeeaseee

Sup its me again. i've been askin for bass samples/sounds for the mpc. I can of course load them up on my mpc but i wanna know how to:

Load the sound on the mpc then be able to send it to my keyboard so I can play it in different notes. Im sure it has something to do with midi but i would love to find out how. Cause as soon as i get these bass sounds, i got some shit fo that ass. And im tryna put it down wit perfection..

Anybody willin to help a brotha out?

IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THE SOUNDS IN DIFFERENT NOTES JUST USE THE 16 VELOCITYS FEATURE. YOU CAN DO THIS WITH ANYHING YOU LOAD ON THE MPC & USE IT AS A KEYBOARD, THAT'S WHAT I DO & YOU CAN MESS WITH THE VELOCITY & TUNING WITH 64 SOUNDS.

16 levels is a great feature but it won't allow you to play the bass sample across a keyboard. If you want to spread the sample across a keyboard you can either use the Autochromatic feature in the MPC or create a multi-sample, here's a link to Tutor's multi-sampling tutorial.

aight yall thanks. i knew that feature was good for something. the notes are never in order on the pads though. there aint a way to organize them so they are in order on the pads? or do i juss gotta suck it up and stop complainin? holla

I've refered to the layout of the pad assignment as being setup for gm drum mapping. If you were to hook up the MPC to a sound module and play a gm drum kit you'll notice that all the pads in bank A are drums that would be available in a standard drum set(this is a drum machine after all), side stick, snare, kick, hi hat, open hi hat, toms, cymbals. This is followed by all kinds of percussion and sound fx, things that a drummer normally won't be able to work while playing the drums(though it is possible, cowbell, wood block, etc.). I think when they designed the MPC they either already knew what would make sense to a drummer or actualy asked some drummers what would make sense to them.

Tutor has a blank program in one of his tutorials( I don't remember which one) that will set up the pad assignment chromatically.
