CAN THE ALESIS DM5 BE USED WITH THE MPC FOR TRIGGERING

Definately. All you have to do is midi out from the MPC1000 to the midi in on the Alesis. You will have to adjust the note asignments on the MPC to match the desired note assignments on the Alesis.

so it doesnt matter if i have pads or triggers. im good to go

I have one hooked up to my mpc4000. It works just fine. I am going to sample all the sounds, and then sell it. I t does ot make much sense to have a drum module hooked up whhen I can just sample all of the sounds.

so can i used the sounds from the dm5 and the mpc at the same time.
im a drummer and will be triggering off drum pads and drum triggers

Should Work Fine. Hook triggers up to dm5, then midi out of dm5 to mpc.
