Multitrack Recorder

I'm looking to get a multitrack recorder (hardware). My biggest requirements are that it contain effects (compression, reverb, delay) and a pretty decent EQ.

I know the Yamaha products (AW16G, etc..) come highly recommended but I wanted to know if anyone knew of something a little cheaper but comparable.

I dont know about cheaper, but has 8 ins, effects, a burner, and lots more
