Anyone recommend a cd-burner?

I'm looking to burn cds using my Sony Vaio Laptop that I have hooked w/ my mpc1000. Can anyone recommend a particular type/brand of cd-burner/software? Thanks.

I would buy a sony usb 2.0 cd burner. this would ensure compatability.

I second the USB2.0 burner tip. I'm using one right now and it works like a charm. They usually come with Nero software, which works fine (for me at least).

When you burn audio (at least if it's important), 4x is the recommended speed.
