how do you guys clean and maintain the surface of your mp

i've noticed that the surface of my mpc is chipping and rusting in small spots especially on the base where the metal meets the plastic front plate. some parts seem like oxydized or something. dont know how to describe it. maybe the oils and sweat from my hands and exposure to the elements after such long use has started to take its toll. also if i rub the letters and numbers long enough they seem to just come off very easily.

maybe i should get one of them decal things to put over it and protect it.

favor high shine lemon scent with cocoa butter flakes.

you use that on the pads too? it doesnt damage them? make em crack or discolored?

isnt this bad for the metal surface of the mpc? if you mean 50% rubbing alcohol and 50 perfect water.... thats only going to cause further oxidization. anything but high grade electronics isopropyl 99%+ is potentially harmful.

Clean up the small rust spots with some fine grit sandpaper. Wipe with a clean rag and cover the area with some clear nail polish.
I'd avoid putting any alcohol or water for that matter on it to clean it.

No. It will not damage it...50 percent is different than 70 and 90 percent...You have to buy it that way you cannot simply mix a higher one with water..I have been using it for years.... You CANNOT use 70 or 90 percent as it will damage it...

I just wipe mine down with a rag. I dont get rust though

i hand cleaned the pads is warm soapy water and dried them on a towel. and to remove grime off surface used alcohol swabs



i use rubber kitchen gloves now they ad to the pad sensitivity
