Whatz the deal
I have a quick question. does anybody use the Vestax Handy Trax to same to their smapler? If so how is the sound? The reason that I'm asking is because I'm thinking of getting one to use as a go-between from my computer to my MPC 2000xl.

Dude I got one but I dont use it for that which you have described......I use it when I go record shopping........lately I havent bees carrying it, because people would be asking me to play the record for them and that was a big headache for me......it would slow down my digging and then I had to be right there with them while they were checking it out.......but its nice

word good looking out. I was just wondering, because my set up is strange. I have my dj set up on one side of the room, and my producing equipment on the other side and i get tried of getting up and down just trying to sample. So it's a nice strong sound, which is good, beacue i can do any sweetening of the samples(filters, efx etc..) on the computer.

Just go to a tv repair shop and buy an old used turntable and keep it on the other side of the room... it's probably cheaper if you got enough room for it...

The Handy trax is tite for sampling. It has the clearest sound you'll get out of any portable TT, and I have a friend that samples with it and his shit is tite. no extra shit, just the handy trax, rca cable and sampler.

It's very good.

It isn't hi fi quality though, close but. Remember that if you are after that slightly cleaner sound (yes yes, i know we are talking records here), or might want to have just that extra brush on your sound down the track.
