Best Mixer Suggestions

After reading conflicting posts about behringer mixers (they are too cheap to be quality in my mind) i wanted to start a new thread. What mixer brand/model is the best for a mpc/midi/live mic/turntable integration? Its all going into the pc eventually not as a live take but i want to know what mixer would be useful for getting these ideas together live in a creative non-pc fashion. Oh and of course budget is tight. thanks

i use a behringer and it works fine, im looking at getting a newer bigger one though.

One of the best going mixers basically slightly above the berhinger range would be Allen + Heath. Just check out their webpage. I used to mix on digital mixers (tascam DM-24, yamaha o1v) and just didnt like having to run through another set of bad digital converters. Made it sound flat. Ended up selling my 01v and decided to purchase a A+H Mixwizard 16:4. Fully analog with no instant recall or digital compression but the punch fully makes up for this in my opinion. Also I would reccomend A+H over the Mackie range as well...When I first got my A+H, it took a week to come in and I was given a Mackie 1604(or something) and really was not impressed with its preamps or eq's at all. I was amazed when I heard the A+H finally as compared to the Mackie. IMO a good mixer is basically the best thing you can do to improve overall sound quality to a music workstation. I would say that A&H is a bit more than "slightly above" the berhinger. A&H is generaly considered to be first in its class as far as low priced mixers are concerned. They are also generaly the most expensive of tthe low cost mixers. Soundcraft also makes a decent product.
