controlling serato with the mpc via midi

Hi,

(not sure if this is the correct section for my request.. if its not please relocate my post. Thanks.)

Does anyone have experience in controlling serato(or scratch live or whatever) from the mpc per midi?

i m just getting serato in a few days and i m curious to now what is possible!!


1) is it difficult to set up the midi-control?
does anybody have some good links explaining this?
2) what serato-function are controllable via midi
3) is the mpc a convenient device for controlling serato via midi
4) is there another device that you could that you could recommend much more?
5)i know for example that its possible to set loop point and such via the mpc, but can i for example scroll down through my crates (with the slider or the jogging-wheel?) and selected the next song?
6)while playing a live set, is it possible to switch between controlling serato via midi and by just switching from lets say program one (the midi controlling pgm) to program two to being able to punch in some samples or play drums(or whatever needs to be played)?

You would be better off using a Stanton DaScratch or Faderfox. If you like the "pad" format then a trigger finger is fine. If you are going to use th mpc, there is the possibility to record your midi events, so in theory you could record the events in your mix/routine.
