whats wrong with the interface? Everything is laid out nice and neat on the matrix, i find it extremely easy to use if one is willing to take the time to learn it
The price isnt bad either given all the goodies that come with it for someone interested in an entry level keyboard that will give them the basics they need to produce synth based music. Im more than satisfied with my microkorg and you couldnt get me to trade it in for that clunky rackmount MS2000 you posted
As for the mc-505, you are comparing two very different machines that arent even in the same price range!?!
The emx is retailing for about 500 bucks right now. So of course feature wise the 505 might have a little more.
Having said that...Im more than pleased with my EMX, and the sequencing and sound manipulation possibilities on it are truly endless. The only thing that I can think of that gives the EMX any competition right now , is the ELEKTRON Monomachine...Can you even get parts for the 505 anymore? Ive read countless complaints on the 505's LCD screen burning out prematurely, doesnt sound like a machine that was built with quality.
And the tubes...Man I love those tubes, They really do add some "crunch" to your mix. Than again it can for some, be a preffered taste. And really...The hiss on the EMX is not that big an issue, as my 2000XL makes more noise on the outputs than my EMX, so i dont agree with you their either
